Thomas, at 33, drafted the Declaration of Independence, impressing the Committee of Five. The document underwent three days of revision and was adopted on July 4, 1776. Independence Hall also housed the Constitutional Convention and Congress. Philly's historical sites include Signers Garden, Carpenter’s Hall, and the Graff House.
