Meet the Storytellers
Roaming Historian’s helm is held by Amy French, our President and Chief Roamer, who is accompanied on many of her adventures by her husband, Jon. Amy, a tenured Professor of History and history whisperer extraordinaire, infuses your travels with her infectious passion for the past. With a Ph.D. in History, her historical expertise underscores every recommendation, anecdote, and insight you’ll find on our site. Additionally, when she’s not teaching or roaming, Amy plans to use her business acumen (she was a financial advisor!) to provide historical consulting for hotels.
Jon, initially a non-believer in history’s charms, has been swept away by Amy’s global explorations, becoming a dedicated convert to the cause. Together, they share a contagious enthusiasm for unearthing forgotten narratives, embracing vibrant cultures, and proving that the past speaks vibrantly to the present.
